Of course, it's still boys.
Over 18, but still boys.
Not video, but still boys.
Still boys who don't move a muscle for my camera.

 

 

Shooting Narcissus

 

I.

Boys drunk with perfect bodies and faces when viewed from the right angle.

Lights and moving mirrors around, and around mirrors searching furtively for 'that one irresistible glance.'

Very hot, sometimes lingering, always centered. Contemplative and self-possessed.

II.

Narcissism, singular but not lonely voyage to the heart of one's perfection;

Mirrors reflecting in detail real muscles and hairdos.

Ephemeral, tangible desires waiting, begging to be recorded.

Camera capturing for eternity deep secrets unshared with the closest of lovers.

Secrets too personal, too mythic to be offered to anyone but strangers.

III.

Long before Father, Son and Holy Ghost, ancient Greeks proclaimed: "Truth, Beauty, and Justice are one."

Wholesome Holy Trinity;
Simple truth discarded for a paradox.

                 IV.

The proof is in the proofs.
Contemplating Beauty in the glossies.
Deeply rooted in the ego yet ego transcending!
Like the ancient Greeks check off the score-card:
One down, two to go.
